Good afternoon, Stingrays.

Can you believe we are marking the end of the Summer swim season? As you know, tomorrow we will celebrate our swimmers with our End of Season Banquet - Fun Swim and Awards.  We will begin the festivities at 6pm wrapping up at 9pm.  Awards will take place at around 7pm.

Please plan to bring your own chairs as the Brookings pool just won't have enough for all of us.

All of that being said, there is a possibility of thunderstorms tomorrow throughout the day.  We are very hopeful that this will not impede on the banquet, however, if it does we have a plan in place.

Drive Thru Weather Plan

With our banquet format of preordered pizzas and for the safety of our families, we will not reschedule this event. Instead, we will host a "Drive Thru" banquet.  Below are the details to make this happen:

1. The Drive Thru Banquet will take place in the parking lot at Bell Prairie Elementary School - next to Staley High School.  We will have a drive thru with a few different stations in the parking lot. 

2. PatMac's preorder pizzas will be available for pick up beginning at 6pm. Delivered to your vehicle door.

3. KC Whip food truck will still be available for your family as well. Each member that you RSVP'ed for will still receive a ticket for a fruit Dole Whip. Depending on weather, you may need to exit your car for this one.

4. Each swimmer will receive a participation award from the team and additional awards will be given for the Most Improved swimmers and High Point awards. These awards will also be given to those swimmers in the drive thru line.  

5. Each year New Mark Swim Team also honors a few swimmers with the Eddie Hayes Award, The Stingray Award, and the Spirit Award. We will do this at separate time and location.  Those families will receive a phone call from the board to make that happen.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding with this plan. 

***We will make the decision by 3:30pm tomorrow on whether we will host our banquet or move to the drive thru version. 

Again, we are VERY hopeful that we will have our banquet as originally planned.
